question about the new mainpage

Umm perhaps this has been asked before but what is that photo on the main page of TL, the bizarre First Strike still deadly cover?

Is it like another version of the album or something? I hope not cause I really like it and It would kill me if I had the crappy one....

Well I've seen the Japanese artwork & it's much better visually,
than the american release, I think the artist is the same guy that did The Gathering's coverwork, which I also really like. And the Japanese version is of course an enhanced CD with a 15 minute
video, on the making of the album, plus other rare photo's, & classic live performances, plus the whole song, "Dog Faced Gods" live from the stage in tokyo, Japan 2000. I filmed almost all of this footage, & it includes, never before released rare material from my private collection. I think everyone will like the bands candid moments backstage, & footage of Alex recording his leads. As well as LEGACY rehearsal footage, in perperation for THE THRASH OF THE TITANS show. And some clips from TOTT, as well. Chuck & Eric personally selected photo's video clips, & helped edit this Documentary, along with Hugh & REALITY CHECK TV. And it all really came out well done....................................................

Why always the japanese versions are better than the other?

I will like to see al the features that are included in the japanese version, but: 1.- I'm not Japanese and i am not in Japan and 2.- I don't have money to buy the japanese version over the internet... it is really unfair for the unconditional fans all over the world, here in Chile we don't have acces to those releases, maybe beacuse we are in the world's ass... sad but true...

japanese albums are better with more tracks and better artwork etc simply becauase albums cost a fortune in japan...

seriously, the average album in japan costs like 2 or 3 times more than anywhere else.

i mean, in the UK i would pay about £10.00 for an album, but the same album in japan would cost about £30.00

thats a lot of money, so i guess they deserve better quality albums.......

I think that the cd's costs more because they include all these features... If i want to buy here in Chile a Japanese version of a CD, it cost about three times the other one inlcuding the shipping cost and import taxes. So, this means that a regular cd will cost around the same price in Japan, but they only have Japanese versions.

Finally, If a cd costs more there it's juts beacuse there is another way of life, they have better salaries too, so they can afford these special versions.

It's totally bogus reasoning. The japs can buy imported cds cheaper than the regular japanese version, so they spike up the japanese version in order to make the japs buy the domestic instead of the import. Lame ass reasoning, because buying a CD from the US is way cheaper than buying it here, so why don't we get special issues as well? Well because we can't tip over ther the US market with cheap electronics and cheap cars. So the Corporate US money making machine doesn't give ratts ass. They only care if there's a potential thread to their milking the cash cow. Money grabbing cunt whores!!!
