Not very extreme I know but still a very talented bunch I think. I love all their stuff, especially the older 80's material! So anyone else?

I absolutly love R.E.M. I've been on an REM kick latley. Michael Stipe is really an intelligent and interesting person. Great song writter too.
Yeah they are surely original. Nowadays they are getting a bit to "poppy" though and I don't really like the latest two albums (although they have some great songs there also). Michael Stipe is one of my fave vocalists of all time. He should sing some metal too 
'Monster' - gotta be their best for me. not a big fan but love that album. one of the few albums out there where every song is great. bang and blame, star 69, king of comedy, strange currencies and well all of them are brilliant...
