This is the worst news i've heard in a good while..He was one of my biggest heroes. Ever. He was an extremely huge and constant influence on me. This has really fucking upset me.

He really will be missed. If only by me.

I now recommend EVERYONE who hasn't checked him out.. Youtube his stuff now, download his albums and dvds.. Enjoy what is left of him.

Yeah, i'm ridiculously close to tears.. This really is the worst news i've heard in a very long time.

And it's making it pretty much impossible to do any work (i'm at college).

Yeah, saw that I little bit ago. Very sad, but I know he'd want us to keep laughing.

R.I.P. George

Fuck, there goes the rest of my day... what a shame, Carlin was a true genius. I'm soooo glad I finally saw him in concert last year, now!

RIP George, you're still the best!

He was my favorite comedian. He was extremely intelligent and everything he said made absolute and complete sence. He was a comedian, humorist, inspirationalist, and to some extent, a teacher. The world has lost a very important man. I will miss him.

"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

-George Carlin

For the last two or three years, I must have said to my wife 4 or 5 times "Honey, we REALLY need to make the effort to go see Carlin, cuz I have a feeling we may not have many more chances". We never made it.

I've been in a funk since I heard this earlier. George was brilliant, insightful, and the funniest person I've ever seen. I will miss him immensely

R.I.P. George...much love...

I'm still fucking miserable about this.. You'd think my he was my dad or something!

I'll never get to see him live, i'll never get to see him and i'll never get to tell him how much he inspired me. He was number one on my list of 'people i NEED to meet'.

Guess i'll just have to visit his grave now.

George Carlin did more to shape my sense of humor than anybody else. I was fortunate enough to have seen him live twice, and he'll be sorely missed.

RIP He was my favorite comedian and I'm sorry i never saw him live. Damn, best comedian ever. Easily some of the most imaginative stuff.
