Radiohead-In Rainbows.

I've been listening to "In Rainbows" for a couple of days. And there is some music that regardless of genre, whether it's your favorite genre or not, this music can not be dismissed. I think it's a brilliant piece of work. This band is constantly evolving. The packaging(gatefold digi-pak) completely sucks. With the "envelope" style case and stickers to put on your own jewel case(which don't fit). But, the important thing is the music. And listening thru excellent head phones is incredible. I've heard some say it's a "snoozefest". I think these people are missing the boat.

Okay, so since this thread is about Radiohead, I might as well ask for a recommendation from them. I had OK Computer a long time ago and got burned out on Radiohead and sold it. I want to try them out again, so what should I pick up from them?

Ozzman, If you got burned out on OK Computer, then you just might not like this band. I would recc; "The Bends"(guitar-oriented) and then "Kid A" more electronic and spacey. I just started really listening to Radiohead, so I may not be the best to help you. I dismissed them at first, primarily because of Yorke's falsetto, but with attention and patience they "grew" on me. This might be considered a "bold" statement, But I consider Radiohead and Porcupine Tree to be the most innovative bands I've listened to in quite a while. Although, I like PT much better. Hope that helps.

Another vote for The Bends here.

The "Bends" is an excellent album. But, this band evolves constantly. It does'nt sound like the same band on "In Rainbows." It's mellow, almost ethereal. The soung "Faust/Arp" reminds me of the "Beatles" and their string arrangements. Great album to put on when your with your "honey." I love music man, but the "cooch" trumps it every time.
