RAGE...Unbelievable!!!!

Hey, can anyone list exactly what their set list was?

I came in late after getting Evergrey to sign my stuff and I'm not exactly sure where in the set I started listening. I got both solos in and I think I was a full song in before the solos started but if some of the hardcores know the full list, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, Da Pup

Thanks for the info. As for the band Hollow, I did some research trying to find their site last year and found some information leading to their break-up. As it is now, I think they are back but under a new name and with new people. Andreas the singer, is feeling better but by the time he got control of his hearing problem, the other guys in the band were now in other bands. I think he has formed another band called Stand or Fall. You can go to this site.

I visited the site and even wrote him a letter but there was no response and the site was stagnant. I just visited the site now and it seems that Andreas is responding to people. They are still waiting for a record deal. It's been a year.....

What was unbelievable about Rage was that they could play every drum fill known to exist on planet earth and beyond on every song. Yes, their drummer is an excellent technician and soloist-but this all out nonstop style does not make for memorable songs. I did really enjoy his drum solo. I wish he could learn that this style of nonstop bombasic drumming gets old fast. Every song had the same pace and beats for the most part. Listen to some old John Bonham and Tommy Aldridge if you want to hear the basis of his drumming. His sound was excellent though. I don't know if the drummer had a good time -it was hard to tell if he was enjoying himself. I found them boring after the first 2 songs- Except for the drum solo. I think they should rename the band "ME". That would fit them better.

I went in knowing Rage's name, and that Sheri was really looking forward to them, but virtually nothing else. I came away converted, they made a new fan here. I'm going to have to look into their history, as there seems to be so much of it, but for me they combined the technical ability of, say, Rush with the outright speed, aggression and attitude of Motörhead in a manner completely their own.

Awesome!

LOL!!! Just because they don't change beat like Spiral Architect does not mean they are repetitive and boring. They are an awesome, technically skilled, metal band. Nobody said they are ultra-progressive, although their latest releases have some prog elements in there. All three of them are amazing musicians and it is incredible how three guys can put up such a great metal show.
They were by far the best band at ProgPower IV!!!!!

"Are you ready for the power of Rage?"

I had not heard RAGE before and they totally blew me away. I enjoyed nightwish's performance the best, but Rage was just fuckin amazing. I really hope these guys come back. \m/

I unfortunately doubt Rage will ever come back since they obviously noticed that many people left before they even came out to play. Still, they put up a memorable show!!!!!!!! Best ever at ProgPower IMO!!!
