Randall V2

Eh, great for live playing (clean and PUNCHY, with a built-in MIDI interface), but I've never heard a recorded clip of it that I liked...

i will use it mainly for live playing actually, for recording in the studio we have a peavey 6505+ or a pod with all the metal packs.. I need a lot of gain, but with out loosing the clarity of the notes thou...

Then in that case it'd be PERFECT, cuz its high-powered MosFET power amp is RIDICULOUSLY clean and clear - I'd go for it! :)

I've got one of these myself, hideous amounts of gain.
It is a great live amp, but I would recommend getting an ISP Decimator cause it's noisy as fuck, and a very loud drummer cause it outputs a wall of thrash.

I haven't had an opportunity to mic it up yet, I've used it with impulses and it sounds a bit wooly but pretty usable.

It's built like a tank and weighs about the same.
If the price is good for you I would defo go for it.
