Man, this is a hard decision. I really enjoy all of the albums. I don't think that there is one that I like more then the others. I will say that my most played out of all of them are MAYH and Blackwater Park.

Don´t understand me wrong, but I think BWP is the album where Opeth made songs for the masses, more commercial and with less progression in songwriting.

All in all It´s a very good album, but in my opinion the other LP´s have more identity...

I agree with that. It's my least favorite of their metal albums, but it doesnt bore me as much as Damnation so it's not quite at the bottom of my list.

I wonder if people would be saying these things about Blackwater Park had it not been the album to break Opeth through to a far larger audience. It still has a great, dark atmosphere to it, and it's fun to listen to sometimes.
