Fuck I was watching tv and this women who worked for a record company said she turned down matchbox twenty for her label cus she didnt like thier shoes, after hearing this i think we are very privaledged to hear an American band put out an album like frances the mute. Here's to a thier long career, and me never understanding the music industry.

yea, amen to that.

theres never accounting for taste when it comes to the public eye, the media and money making...

fortunately, it seems the mars volta and Opeth now too are starting to figure out how to beat the system a bit.

haha yeah dude, I got mine at Best Buy for $6.99, can't fucking beat that with a stick. And I also got Deloused, which was $9.99. Hell I even got a free cd with my purchases, too bad it's a shit sampler with shit bands on it.

I just ordered a copy of Anglagard's first and unfortunately it was a bit more than $6.00 (Instructions: bend over, wait for fist, click buy). So how is their second record NF?

both are awesome and essential. ill try to send you a song from epilog as soon as i can. im at work at the moment though.

on another note...

i just got my Camel - Footage DVD in the mail today...and Andy Latimer hand signed it as well! I knew he ran the company, but didnt think he would sign any of the merchandise without having requested it...im pretty happy. and needless to say i cant wait to watch it later.

on another note...im listening to Rush: Power Windows.

anyone else love this album? highly underrated when it comes down to it...often an overlooked gem of the Rush catalog.

and certainly much better than what 95% of earlier prog bands were doing in the 80s.

thoughts? fav songs?

i love middletown dreams and grand designs the most...but every track is solid.

haven't heard that album, but i'm currently listening to megadeth - the sys. has failed, and i must say it's pretty awesome. on my other listens it was just okay, but..i dunno i'm feeling it tonight.

i couldnt get into it at all. rust in peace and youthanasia were the last releases of theirs i could get into.

I love Power Windows. Marathon is a favorite track of mine. That tour was the last time I saw Rush in concert. I'm waaaay overdue.

Alternative, on Frances, I wonder why they didn't divide the first song into it's respective parts, on different tracks, but they did for the other two long songs. thoughts?

To be honest im really confused the the track names, they are diff on the back of the cd to what they are in itunes. But the only readon i could think of is for cd quality, its a long cd and it could have fucked it up? Pink Floyd have done the same thing with Shine on...... 1-5 and 6-9, and ive never seen why they didnt devide it up, and the this cd is another one i dont get.

I like your new avatar to, and the names Chris by the way :)

Fav Rush track here, the trees.
