where do you live? I still have to wait until the 26th, wow that seems like a ways away

mh, i stopped searching for the album of the year ages ago because i cant remember which cd was released whch year. so far i dont think deadwing beats signify and the sky moves... . it's better than in absentia tho methinks at the moment...

Looking forward to the new PT album, dont know what version to get. I want the album now, but i want shesmovedon which isnt on the uk one, and i want the sacd version but cant be bothered waiting that long.

deadwing has album of the year status for me so far...

lets see how Opeth stands up to it...

Well... considering that all of Opeth's albums so far totally own Deadwing, I'd be reasonably confident about it. I mean seriously, there is no comparison between the two bands. I'll probably enjoy the new system of a down more.
As far as my album of the year goes, The Decemberists's Picaresque is the current favourite though I sure hope it won't be there by year end.

i think deadwing is better than damnation and possibly deliverance as well...

after 2-3 listens of deadwing, i don't have a solid opinion, but some songs are great and some are mediocre, at the moment, to me. i can't wait to pick the album up though, it'll sound even better, and the cover art is fucking incredible.

PT >>>>>>>>> SoaD. it's not even a fucking comparison, give me a break dude.

as for Frances the Mute, finishing listening to the full album again, and it's growing on me more. i liked it as it was..but it's just sinking in more, with each listen i suppose.

I pre-ordered the special edition of deadwing today, $30 us plus postage (better not be to much) comes with a book dvd-v version and stereo version. Im excited.

EDIT: Now Ive actually read something about the released im kinda fucked off. The special version has no extra's, im thinking of cancelling it and just getting the dvd-a version. Lava have fucked up this release big time, assholes.
