I seem to remember the name Tortoise, but havn't checked them out yet (nor even know if they're good or not). Anyone a fan of the genre?

I guess tortoise are post-rock, but i never really liked that genre name to begin with. They have a lot of electronic sounds going on in their music, but not usually overkill. TNT and It's All Around You are my favorite tortoise albums, very unique stuff.

thats true, they are the clear innovators of the genre called "post rock" or "art rock." cool genre, cool bands, cool music
