Did a song at RCA studio B and thought I'd share some pictures of the fun. Console is an API with a custom monitor section. Recorded to 16 track 2 inch tape on a studer machine.

Grrrr. pictures... not... work... damned office computer! gonna check em out as soon as I'm at the house tho!

I'm actually in the middle of reading "Temples of Sound", a book about all the classic US studios, and there's a lot in there about RCA B. Amazing the stuff they were doing back then with boards that used to be in radio stations, boards with NO EQ, etc.

Must be an amazing experience for you!

same man, looks great...

another quarm.... those ns10s are farrto close together for monitoring!!

Im more concerned about the presence of 824's! Kill them! kill them till they die from it!

But seriously looks awesome mate!
what speed did you run the machine? 15 or 30?

Glad you're enjoying the pictures. The OH's are high because it sounded good lol. That room is so sexy sounding that putting them that far off isn't even an issue. Still sounded present as crap. The tape speed was 15 ips and the mix session will be 3 hours beginning of next month down to 1/4 inch tape.

Ya, I figured they knew what they were doing as far as the OH placement. Just looked crazy high. Glad you enjoyed the session. Clips coming soon?
