Has anyone bought these? If so what are your thoughts? I think the art work looks great, Serenity Remembered is absolutely beautiful............:headbang: Great package with the t-shirts...........

I have tried, but never pulled the trigger due to the inconsistencies with the availability of these from THE END.
(IE - click on the item, then get to another page that says OUT OF STOCK).

I will certainly purchase them first time I see them at a store.

By the way, is the band selling these directly by chance?

My package with both of the t-shirt deals should arrive any day now. I'm looking forward to hearing the discs, since I've yet to hear the original albums being a fan for only the past year and a half.

Hopefully it will come tomorrow - can't complain though, since I love The End's free shipping option.

I got Of Sculptured w/t-shirt, and I love it! It's a great album that I've really hardly ever listened to. I guess I must have screwed up my order because I got a second copy of Sculptured by itself, and I thought I ordered Amid w/t-shirt . I think this was my fault, but I'm going to try to return it and get it right.

My Package arrived today
2 T-shirts and AIHM-CD.
The size and the design of the t-shirt are great.
I will be wearing them the next weeks on the train, when going to work. And on Graspop offcourse
I will also be checking the CD. For me, it are all new songs, so it's just as i'm having an brand new CD of ND.

The package showed up today. The t-shirt/cd combos of both albums - Amid and Sculptured Ivy, plus Sabbath's Eternal Idol, since I'm working my way through their 80's discography slowly.

The t-shirts are awesome, and a great bonus for an extra $11 each or whatever it was. My only issue was that it's a little hard to read the tracklisting on the back of the Sculptured Ivy shirt in red text. The Amid shirt is awesome though, with the old logo.

I've never heard the original albums before, so this is all "new" material to me.

I won't have time to do any serious listening to the albums until later this week, but I'm flipping through them tonight. Halfway through Amid, and I have to say that Paul's growling has improved a ton compared to this album. I love the enunciation and tone compared to the sound on Amid, but these original vocals do fit well with the music.

I've heard a few of the Sculptured Ivy songs from the bonus disc on TWTF (For Ever Leaf) so I'm a little more prepared for the style of this album. The growls are defintiely more refined compared to Amid.

Overall, both albums are very well done. Great artwork and plenty of music to go through. I'll have to pull out Paul's book again when I have some time alone and listen along with my headphones. All I need is The Knowing, and that should complete the basic ND discography!

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. I've been enjoying the original Amid... a lot lately. I can't wait to see what the remaster can get out of it.

I'm listening to Of Sculptured Ivy here at work and really like what I'm hearing. Great riffs and vocals. Forever with Unopened Eye gives me a huge Sabbath vibe between the riff and and groove of the song. It's extremely catchy, which surprises me, because I only thought that some of the catchy riffs came with Pale Haunt and Novella Reservoir.

Very good job on the re-issues guys!

I got "Of Sculptured Ivy.." yesterday!! All I can say for now..from the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU GUYS..YOU'RE THE BEST!! :)
The artwork is beautiful!!...I particulary liked the one on the first page in the booklet and the one on the page that has the lyrics "for every leave that falls"
I haven't had the time to listen to it yet,but will do so this coming weekend when/if I got some more free time on my hands..can't wait to hear the album!!

Mine have arrived now. Loving the shirts and the artwork for both of the albums. I haven't listened to the new Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers yet, but am just listening to Amid Its Hallowed Mirth now. Only up to "My Agony, My Ecstacy" so far, but I'm really liking the remaster job - the volume problem (I don't know whether that's just my version or something all the AvantGarde versions suffered from) is completely gone, and all the instruments seem clearer and fuller, whilst not straying from the original feel/tone of the album (as a lot of remasters seem to do).

This remaster has definitely brought out the best in Amid... and it's good to see it getting the chance to show it's full potential.

I can't imagine how the original Of Sculptured Ivy... could be improved upon, but I'm sure I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Being completely new to the band, I figured I would start at the beginning. All I can say is that Amid Its Hallowed Mirth has been absolutely crushing! My earphones have gotten a serious workout on this album and every listen brings out something new to enjoy. A little bass embellishment or a subtle drum fill seems to pop out on each successive listen. Also, everything is laid out perfectly on the album and the production, which I imagine was the major reason for the reissue, is great!

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot ... Thank you!

Okay, that will conclude my gushing for the remainder of today...

Just finished listening to Of Sculptured Ivy... now and I must say the album does flow better without "Before the Wind" included. Also, the bonus tracks are great. It's always nice to hear a new take on familar songs, and such beautfiul ones at that. And Paul's vocals just keep getting better and better with each release.

Great job on the albums all round, guys! Thanks for taking the time to make the rereleases so worthwhile! :headbang:

Been listening now for three days to AIHM.
My favourite ones are :
Chorus of Jasmine
and
Crown of Thorns

Are you thinking about bringing one of the AIHM songs on stage ?Or is this too nostalgic :)

For a time we were playing Chorus Of Jasmine, in a slightly re-worked fashion. We've talked about possibly doing it again, but nothing certain. If there's enough positive response to the AIHM re-release then maybe we'll put it in the set at some point. But right now we don't do anything older than Of Sculptured Ivy...songs.

It's cool to finally hear these albums. Both sound great, gonna take a few more spins for them to sink in though I think.

I'm loving all the taches' in the AIHM booklet :headbang:

Waiting for Sculptured Ivy, should be here sometime this coming week. I ordered mine from Amazon for $9.97. Best ten bucks I spent in a long time I'm sure.
