A friend and I have been tracking guitars and reamping and I'm not pleased with the outcome. The reamp tracks are sounding weak and cleaner than they should be. Like the guitar volume is rolled back. He's the engineer, so please understand I don't have all of the specifics. I'll try my best though...
Guitar is tracked with DI into Presonus interface, then Cubase. We then go out of the Presonus, into SGI DI box, into another Radial X-amp DI, my pedal chain, then another DI before my Marshall JCM 800.
I don't know if my ears are playing tricks on me. But, the reamp track might even be getting gradually weaker/cleaner as it goes. Please let me know if I've left out important info. Thanks for reading.
