Reccomend me a pick-up

Hey guys

Im thinking of putting a emg 81 into the bridge of my Gibson Flying v unless anyone can reccomend something better? Im using a 6505 and ts9 and looking for a kinda Machine Head/Devildriver kinda tone..

Those are both really aggressive bands with aggressive tones, and there's no pickup that does 'em better than the 81!

its a combination that will work very well for what your after, remeber unless you know your electronics, your gnna have to put another active pup in the neck, you cant use an EMG and passive pup with standard wiring/potentiometers.

EMG 81 - I use mine with the standard 9v. Never had the balls enough to go 18v...plus my cavities don't have enough room.

One of my guitars has active and passive pickups. It's recommended that you don't use same grounding. However, it worked out fine in mine.

One of my other Active/Passive gits has the neck pickup disabled. I never use it anyway.
