+1 to Garmin. I have had mine for a year without a single issue

well, while on tour this year, it did take me to a nursing home instead of the venue haha. Other that that, no issues

EVery single GPS unit I have ever dealt with will take you to the middle school about 500ft away from my apartment complex, instead of my apartment.

I have the first version of the TomTom One, it is highly recommended. It is faster than the newer versions of the TomTomXXL and many other brands.
The only problem of the TomTom One's is that batteries only last 2 hours, so you have to use it connected to the car's plug.

About maps, I think there are only 2 companies that provide maps to all GPS manufacturers, so it that area all seem to be the same.
