Im tired of these people coming in here with 80 dollar basses
so im goona buy a bass to keep here at the studio
my price range is 400-600

i was looking at the ROCK BASS by Warwick has anyone played it ? what do they think

or maybe a Fender Precision bass

whats ur guy's thoughts?

I like my spector performers series bass. They are around 400 dollars new.

X 1,000,000

The problem is this thing is out o his price range. So maybe a mexican with the pickups and electronics swapped for something better?

I'd think you could probably pick up a used American Jazz or Precision bass for 600 if you looked around. Judging from Strat and Tele prices, it would be on the low end of the price scale, but they're a common enough instrument I think it would be do-able.

Since he's probably doing mostly metal stuff if he's posting on here, I'd suggest a five string, if only to make switching between lower tunings easier.

how so? the standard jazz bass is $479 new most online retailers

i owned one for a while, and loved it to death

i've also been looking at some of the $500-ish ibanez basses...mostly because they come with bartolinin pickups
