Machine Head's first and last album were pretty solid thrash to me. Great stuff.

I get it though...it's remotely popular because it changes speeds and isn't balls to the wall all the time...so we have to hate it.

To be fair I see where you're coming from. I thought Machine Head - Burn My Eyes was pretty Thrashtastic. I think it would be mean ness of spirit to deny that Burn My Eyes isn't thrash.

I also enjoy that album very much. So there.

Mind you, after that, aside from the track "Imperium", MH can go fuck themselves. They're like Testament Mrk.2 in the missing the bandwagon by 5 minutes stakes.

Eh...well I still would buy another CD from them.

To me, they are pure american thrash, and may have missed the bandwagon the first time around, but they aren't jumping on it now like everyone else. They aren't metalcore or melodic death or speed...

Like...every good band that comes out is just a clone of another, only they do it better. If you play MH's first CD and then their last...they still sound the same. I don't have all their cd's though, so I'll admit I heard they sucked and tried to go mainstream with rap crap metal..??

I've been enjoying my old "best of" Acid Reign tape, recently, which is odd, given they suck ass big-time.

Actually, it's just the track "humanoia", which is being hummed all day, more or less. (Which is good, as singing "The Devil Rides out" in a cod-Finnish accent was getting a bit tiresome)
