Soothing / Dreamy / Ambient-like music with good atmosphere. The type of stuff you can fall asleep to. Kind of like "The Sky Moves Sideways (Phase One)" by PT but without the loud drums midway through the song.

Lycia, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, basically the majority of Projekt Records.
Older Mortiis. Coil. Air. Devin Townsend's Devlab.
Definitely some of the shoegazer bands like Slowdive & My Bloody Valentine. Maybe Red Sparowes but they do get heavy here and there.

Well.. here's what works for me....

Isis - Oceanic
Neurosis - The Eye Of The Storm.. or any other one works for me. sun that never sets is my fave
Dead Can Dance - Spiritchaser - From Australia originally.. someone here recommended me to them and I thank them.. very organic.. crazy native instruments..tribal chants, mezmorizing precussion and wildlife sounds combined with basic rock instruments sometimes and english
Dredg - El Cielo
Buckethead - Electric Tears
Devin Townsend - Terria
Symphonic Pink Floyd
Kyuss - when Josh Homme was great.. Blues for the Red Sun.. and Welcome to Sky Valley.. often called desert peyote sludge metal..

type-o-negative too because peter steele's voice soothes my nerves.. and its slow and repetitive.. which isn't always a bad thing.

hahaha, no i wasn't, but now that you mention it, it could be good :P i WAS however going to reccomend some artists from it though. The mix i made though is a bit more "active", in that some of it, though it is largely ambient, is very agressive and startling. Good for if you're in for a ride, not if you really do just want something to sleep to.

oh yeah, the file is a .rar file, which is just an archive file like a .zip file. you need the RAR archiver to open it though. Then inside it's just 2 mp3's. If ya want, i can explain better in a PM or some messenger thing. It's fucking worth it, i swear :p
