so, if I want to record bass; in what order should i put the signal?

should it be:

a) bass --> BSS Ar-133 DI --> Firepod
or
b) bass --> Firepod?

and which would be more suited for re-amping?

thanks!

i know; instrument level inputs; but what would sound better?
via the BSS or directly into the firepod DI?

i will, don't have the firepod yet, I just really wondered what the difference would be.. most def gonna try it out and post it here!

ok so here we go:
regardless of how loud it is, which one is best?

take 1: from 00:00 to 00:17 = bass -> firepod instrument input
take 2: from 00:18 to 00:38 = bass -> firepod instrument input (gained)
take 3: from 00:39 to 00:55 = bass -> bss -> line input
take 4: from 00:56 to 01:12 = bass -> bss -> line input (gained)

you can cut out the takes and try and process it if you want!
bpm is 140! bass is a fender precision,
hit me up with some feedback! thanks!

humm.

I compared the FP DI then the BSS DI. Then listed to the FP DI gained and the BSS gained.

I prefered the firepod in both situations. The BSS seems to cut the lows.

hmm interesting replies.. opinions seem to differ.. hehe..
anyone else?
