Wondering if anyone on this great board has created screen-capture videos of their entire recording and production process for a single metal / rock song? Or if anyone knows of a source that has such videos?
For example, taking viewers through the process of configuring tracks in the DAW, recording, mixing /eq, mastering, etc.
Speaking for myself particularly, and I'm sure many others, I have a hard time learning from reading text, I'm more of a visual learner, and I'm trying to learn entirely from these boards at the moment, but having a bit of a difficult time on some particular things, such as processes in Cubase 5 that I just can't figure out how to do, (specifically: automation with plug-ins, drum replacement, making drum tracks in cubase's piano roll (having issues with double kick placement not sounding right), recording both processed and DI at the same time, song writing process, tempo changes, etc... these are all just a few things that confuse me and I'm sure could be resolved if I had lesson(s) to work along with to teach me these basic things.
I've seen tutorials for Cubase specifically, but those aren't entirely helpful because they are more leaning towards things that aren't entirely useful when making this kind of music.
