most bands who "remaster" do it on their own computers on some software,
therefore, the CD becomes an MP3 quality... the sound is very thin...
you know what I mean?
I have so many death metal bands remastered CDs who did it........
you've never heard it ?

if they need to remaster an album, it should be ...And Justice for All by Metallica. Greatest metal album ever (of course in my opinion) and they just HAD to take out the bass... I understand the fact that it was done out of respect for Cliff and for hazing of Jason, but comon... its time we the fans heard a redone verison of the album... properly done. the remaster of it I have, I could have done better myself within an hour.

yeah, it kinda pisses me off when this happens. ive spent a lot of energy on this band, and to see something get remastered that doesnt need it kinda pisses me off.

ive only heard 3 remasters sound better than the original. and that was megadeth, dimmu and judas priest.

derek was dead on about bands that just add a crappy b-side or live rare tracks.

cradle of filth is notorious for this. they seem to crap out a new cd every year

ive spent many hours staring at Guitar Pro tabs and such and trying to follow the basslines while listening to the cd and have yet to succeed.


and on the main topic, none of the albums need remastering!!!! if they sounded that bad it would have happened already (EoR).

and if there are bonus tracks save that stuff for the DVD or a 2nd disc on the next album!

it is 100% true, in the interview i did with jeff at the jaxx that will never see the light of day, he said they were gonna have some bonus tracks from their demos remastered and added on... you know like 'the system's failing' and 'dreaming mind' good shit.
this is nevermore here guys, not some average band. all the cowards hide was a 'b-side' i fuckin love that song.
