the remo ambassador black suede just replaced the Aquarian Texture Coated (z-100) as my favorite snare skin. I hope it lasts as long (the aquarian sounds and looks like new after tracking 10 songs)

I hope I'll be able to take some sampes of my snares soon

I'd say it's warm, open, bright and full sounding with lots of attack.

still loving it quite a bit.
I've just used it one the Svartsot recording on my Black Panther....
perhaps I'll be able to upload a tiny snippet of the drums later.
I really really love how this snare sounded without any peocessing.

I just finished tracking a drummer with these heads on his toms less than an hour ago. they sound pretty nice to me! he just had a pearl export too.

I think the HD dry is great as long as the drummer absolutely smacks the shit out of the snare, literally about as hard as he can. Sounds pretty crap on softer hit's though.

maybe it was a different type of black head that I used. It felt really thick and rubbery and had no attack, just a weird bouncy thud.

Nah sounds great. regardless tuned right. gets rid of all the nasty ring i normally spend ages eqing out =WIN
