Americans think all English are like Pierce Brosnon and Bridget Jones. England is known for an enormous amount of violence. There's almost riots after soccer games. Probably low on the murder scale, but people get in fights there like you wouldn't believe. One English buddy of mine told me that getting in fights on the way home everyday was normal for him.
Great English people there too though.

No, I don't believe in doing something bad to someone else to make up for something bad happening to you. Really, that makes you no better than the people who have wronged you. Anyway, if somebody hurts me, I'll sooner blame myself for being too gullible, than the person for hurting me. I think it's just the way of the world. Bad things can happen to good people, and good things can happen to bad people. Being good to others sadly doesn't always mean you'll get the same treatment in return.

I don't think you can classify England as socialist. The US is definitely not a true democracy though. Never has been. I believe the correct term is Democratic Republic.
I don't really think redneck Texans should be considered our strong point. And fuck the Dallas Cowboys. What a pompous team!

We have an election sometime before June.
Our Labour (the socialists) should be decimated at the polls.
The term Broken Britain keeps appearing and I think its a true reflection.
However we also have some good points in the way the country works. The problem is the mass hysteria surrounding things. This is where socialism failed here. You cant help kids that are lost in case you get branded a paedophile, You cant fly the flag of your country (if you are English) in case it offends immigrants (I'd love to see that be tried in the USA lol) and we look to be joining the European supersatte whether the population want to or not.
Anyway I guess its good to talk like this, because some of the things I say may come across wrong on here, and some of the things that are said by you guys may come across wrong to me. Different cultures etc.
I fear that minority parties such as the BNP may gain a big surge in the election. Not that I think they are all bad, I am a nationalist, I love my country and I am proud of its heritage. But then again I am not racist and I dont want to see mass deportations or live under facist rule.
The UK should be independant, we need to be ruled by a government that can use common sense and we need to increase our ties with the US.
Its now getting too political and I dont want any arguments starting. But stuff like this can go to show the thinking behind somoenes post.

We had a march of 10s of thousands of people protesting and demanding illegal immigrants should get citizenship and have the same rights and benefits as legal Americans. You saw swarms and swarms of Mexican flags being waved as they tried to convince the rest of us they should be considered Americans since they climbed a fence or swam across a river while millions of people around the world struggle to get a visa to come here.
We're in the same boat.

I lived in another country for 3.5 years. China. I knew zero Chinese upon arrival. In 6 weeks I was taking trains by myself talking to locals and using basic Chinese. I was able to get what I want and get by in 6 weeks in bloody Chinese! How hard is it to learn fuckin English when at least the letters are the same. Since then I've learned to read 2000 characters and communicate in Chinese fairly well. All without taking a single class. And no, it never crossed my mind to live there ullegaly or on an expired visa.
Liberals suck but conservatives suck too. The entire system sucks and there's no way to win the way it's set up.
