RHAPSODY OF FIRE to release Live album on May 3rd!

Italian Symphonic Metal kings RHAPSODY OF FIRE will release „Live - From Chaos to Eternity“ on May 3rd (USA: May 7th).
It will be available as 2-CD Digipak and as limited 3-Vinyl set. The material (a mixture of old classics and newer tracks) was recorded on the band’s latest European tour (Spring 2012).

Alex Staropoli comments:
"We wanted to deliver a live album that can actually be called a LIVE album. Not one single part was re-recorded in studio as most of bands do. Personally I am always looking for perfection but in the case of this live album I truly believe it had to sound live and maintain both live playing and feeling at 100%."

Vocalist Fabio Lione adds:
"This live album it's the concrete proof that this band is strong and willing to keep playing and producing music for all our fans out there for the years to come".

This is going to be a fantastic album. I don't listen to live performances too much unless they're DVDs (and I still rarely watch them after the first viewing) but Rhapsody's last live album was fantastic, this setlist is even better than that one, and hearing Alex Staropoli say that not one part was re-recorded in the studio makes it even better for me.

Can't wait to get this!!

Visions is such a disappointing DVD. It's cool to see the band live and the behind-the-scenes backstage footage, but the setlist is awful and they don't even show the complete song sometimes, it'll cut out to a different song halfway through, and I don't think they're all from the same show, either (can't remember, it's been a long time). It really let me down.

Yes! I don't listen to live recordings much either, but this is a must. And I doubt it, but I wish we'd see/hear Luca on there somewhere!

Is there no Luca on the dvd? He's not on the cover...so this is recorded after the split?

Visions came out in like 2007, so it has the classic lineup (Staropoli, Holzwarth, Luca, Fabio, Dominique, Patrice).

This new one though, nope. Holzwarth, Fabio, and Staropoli are still there, but now there's Tom Hess and Roberto De Micheli on guitars and Oliver Holzwarth on bass).
