It's not really surprising though, considering his lifestyle. The last few times I've seen him with Type O and Carnivore, he was so loaded he could barely stand, even less perform.

Peter will remain to be an iconic person and musical innovator. An original. And one less left in today's music biz... RIP.

Type O Negative was always a special band for me. They were one of my first forays into metal. The first record I heard from them is October Rust and it's still as brilliant as when I heard it for the first time. I've never seen them in concert either although I did get John Kelly's autograph. This is a very sad day.

A friend of mine has got into music because of them. It's the only band he was really a "true" fan of. He had all the albums and rarities. The day he saw them live for the first time was very special for him. And today is really a sad day for him.
