Bought the Rock in Rio DVD today at HMV. I won't say how much I paid for it, and I'll appreciate it if nobody here says what price they've seen it for, because I just KNOW it won't be worth the price I paid... OK, it cost me $49.95.

Haven't watched it yet, but I'll let yis know what it's like this evening. Will it be another Live After Death, or another Live At Donington? Or... gulp... another Raising Hell?

Oh, and I saw "Minority Report" today. Good flick - pity I read some reviews that said it was Spielberg's best since "Raiders", otherwise I wouldn't have had such high expectations and wouldn't have been let down. Damn you, film critics!

Hey Spiff.........
I bought RIR last night from Big W of all places. I wont say how much I paid for it cause you will hate me. I'll just say that I am now glad that I work at Big W :)

Anyway, I watched it, and I think it is absolutley fuckin brilliant!
Bruce is the ultimate frontman! He always gets the crowds pumped and eating out of his hands!

The second disc is a nice lil bonus too

Serves me right for not shopping around then, I guess :)

I've watched a few tracks so far - video is pretty lousy in places, same with the sound. Other than that it's better than I expected!

$49.95! yipes

Minority Report sounds good. The Melbourne Herald Sun gave it 5 stars - something I don't think they've ever done!
Said it was Tom Cruise's best work.. well.. ever. Somehow I don't find that hard to believe. :D

That bad 'eh? ;)

No that I've sol my copy of the album, I may consider buying the DVD to replace it. As soon as I get a DVD player first that is.

I paid 70 dollars for the Megadeth one on import

I might drop into Utopia and pick it up tomorrow.......

 It had better be good.

btw - I finally heard a few tracks from Rude Awakening. The bands sounds great, but Dave is just terrible. Train Of Consequences is hilarious.

It was alright, if you are a die hard Deth fan you would love it I think!

I know, Rude Awakening wasnt Daves best hour

Probably far too cheap for my liking!

Just a hint - try JB Hi-Fi first, they're always much cheaper than HMV. I would have done that but there isn't one locally (well, there's a new one on Gympie Rd but I don't know what it's like cos I haven't been there yet), and I couldn't be bothered going into town today.

Yes, I got mine from Big W. I think it is $43 there (It is a double disc).........
I actually really love this dvd. I can handle the way that the shots are cut together, it is not oo distracting in my view.
Awesome version of Sign of the Cross. That is one of the biggest highlights for me!
