Again, is this completely random per bracket?

Not any longer. Once the brackets are set, as they were in Round 1, it follows the same format as the basketball tournament. For instance, if Maiden beats Sabbath, they will face the winner of Ulver vs. Neurosis. The winner of that matchup will face the survivor of Emperor, Isis, Dark Tranquillity and Agalloch matchups. The remaining band in Bracket 1 will face the winner of Bracket 2. And them the Championship, between the winners of Brackets 1/2 and 3/4. Six Rounds in total, with Round 6 being the Championship.
