I have heard a rumor of such a tour. I'm not sure if it's a wild fantasy or if it's been confirmed or whatever, and I'm lazy. If someone with more info could let me know, it would be cool.

Also, how fucking cool would this tour be? It's ridiculous.

dio has never really been a part of any essential music. he is the king of filler, though. well, except for kiss

Heaven and Hell is the only one I'd go out of my way to see. I don't really like Priest or Motorhead, and I haven't really heard any Testament.

Also, I'm not so sure as to whether Priest will be involved; Iced Earth mentioned a bunch of tour dates with Priest on their webpage, that may or may not conflict with this rumored tour.

Zeph, pick up Dehumanizer
This is good advice. Pick up Dehumanizer, it's really the only Dio-era album worth buying.

Fuck you! Dio-era Sabbath is awesome
Not to mention the whole Motorhead and Testament thing.
I was hoping to get all the Ozzy essentials first, but I can jump around if need be.

Just get the black box collection - all 8 albums w/ ozzy: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Black-Box-Complete-Original-1970-1978/dp/B0000DII8S/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1208046256&sr=8-2"]here[/ame]
Used for under $52

well then do that.
But the first 4 are the good ones - after that, downhill. Heaven and Hell is better than the last 4 put together.

most people say that "never say die' is pretty uninspired, but i personally like it. i would certainly think it's necessary to own along with the other ozzy era sabbath stuff.

I don't think any of the ozzy albums are genuinely bad, but the last couple should not be at the top of any lists.

My thoughts exactly.
Except I said something along the lines of "God is real, and he's in my fucking head", followed by "get it out! get it out!"

Eh, Heaven and Hell is pretty good. Mob Rules is meh, though

I can't stand Heaven and Hell. Incredibly mediocre, aside from Neon Knights and Die Young.

Mob Rules is better, but it doesn't live up to the awesomeness that is Dehumanizer, or anything from the Ozzy era.

Cmon, Dio-era Sabbath is the ONLY good Sabbath. Ozzy's just annoying.
As I said in the Controversial Opinions thread, I'd take Technical Ecstasy or Never Say Die over Heaven and Hell any day of the week.
