If I had to one contributing point to this thread, this would be it.

Naturally occurring "drugs" have been traditionally a part of human culture since long before our modern concieved ideas of "history".

This knowledge is largely being lost by our overfaithfulness in medical doctors, pharmecutical corporations, et cetera. Of course, the sacred character of drugs have been denounced because of criticism that shamanism is primitive and "unscientific". The basis of this knowledge was/is/will be LOST, or at least restricted to a few individuals who still practice their traditions outside of modern societies... however they will yet still be shunned in time as their own societies adopt modern attitudes towards substances.

As a result, I think you have much more problems on your hands when you reduce the idea of drugs to something for social entertainment... something to do carelessly on the weekend with friends and eventually this could lead to more serious addictions... You know, like a "party" drug.

That said, I don't do "drugs" in the sense of the word as we are using it in this thread, I don't really have any incentive to, but I might one day. Who knows.

My two cents.

good post, but i have one problem.... what do you consider alcohol? :loco:

i like how the tail, horns, and red skin are giving me a boner only to be killed by that nipple ring. well, at least my standards are as lopsided as some people in this thread. :loco:

okay i read this thread finally, pretty good stuff for the most part.

question to anyone taking the anti-drug approach: what be your thoughts on nicotine and alcohol, aka two of the most addictive and destructive substances on the planet? reminds me of some christian fucktard i met at a party once, he looked down on everyone who was smoking weed "i've never touched the stuff" yet went off to pop a few vicodins with his bottle of Chudweiser.

The keyword here is moderation. A person who drinks moderately (like me, I drink perhaps a few pints a month, and never enough to get wasted), is not damaged by the alcohol (well... ehhr... not seriously anyways... :) ) and it's out of his system within days, being water-based. Drugs are fat-based and is in your system for months and years before it's gone. Some are even "stored" in your marrow and is there till the day you die.

I used to smoke, myself, but I quit when it truly dawned on me what a filthy habit it was.

You should take up writing for the Christian propaganda machine!

Ho ho, you're a funny one. :Smug:

if you're basing your entire theory here on water soluble = good, and fat soluble = bad, well then sorry to tell you this but there's such thing as water soluble drugs as well, so they can be used in moderation then? This seems adverse to what you originally said.

so this thread's gone back in a circle for the nth time already

Of course that's not all I base my opinions on. If that was so, I would have mentioned it earlier.

But I get it, Chromatose, you like drugs. You probably use them too. Good for you. Continue using your drugs to get high, wasted and that cool, underground stuff, and I'll continue to avoid them, as I'm satisfied with dealing with every day soberly and living my life without chemical enhancements.

wow dude, I think you need to get out for a bit, take a breather.

I am not here advocating nor disapproving of drug use, I have no desire to get involved in that, I'm just presenting information, trying to help you out. No reason to result to personal attacks just because I pointed out something.

When you hand a cashier money at a store, and he tells you you're 5 cents short, do you insult his mother?

No. This is simply untrue. Cannabis is really the only drug that is significantly fat-soluble (or rather, its metabolites are, which are not psychoactive) and even in a habitual smoker, those metabolites have left the body in a few months at most. Pretty much all other drugs fall to undectable levels within a few days or weeks. Of course, that's not to say that drugs don't have the ability to cause semi-permanent or permanent changes in physical and mental health (hello, alcohol). That's where moderation and common sense come into play.
