My ass was sonic-ly kicked. Sure I had to stand on the edge of a pit where people we're wanking around like douchbags, and I had to listen to 2 hours of hardcore shit, but me and a couple other metal heads killed time by smashing people that came near us, and otherwise occupied ourselves until BTBAM. But it was worth it. It was also my first crowd surfing experience.

BTBAM are a decent band Not one I listen to often because.... they'll like Opeth. I have to be in the mood "Oh this heavy melodeath-part sounds quite interesting.. oh whats this, an extended calm tranquil part......... WHERES THE FURY?!" 
Well Im big into prog and what not, not as much the hardcore aspect, mostly the syncopation and complicated rhythms.
