Saw 'Reign of Fire' yesterday

has anyone seen XXX
every crime scene just happens to have a few motocross bikes parked out the front

I thought the effects were very good, but walked out very disappointed in the movie. It could have been so much better. It would have been much better to see them rampaging through London, rather than the aftermath up in Northumbria. The casting was shithouse too.

I disagree with everything Winmar said except on the effects...they were great. But I walked out really satisfied with the film...I thought it was great! The setting I think was brilliant...remote...herded into a relativley small place...living in constant fear and apprihension.

And I thought the casting was great. I didnt even realise it was Christian Bale untill the credits rolled. At one point I thought...that kinda looks like that guy from American Psycho (fucking shithouse film) but thought...nahh...accent sounds too good for an american actor to be putting on. His scottish offsider was good, and the guy who plays Dr Bashir on DS9 was a great character too, even if he only had a small part.

Overall I thought it was a fantastic film.

I was far from on the edge of my seat. That main hero bloke had a bloody annoying accent, they somehow managed to have tea there after 8 years (must be that underground tunnel to Sri Lanka), and I hate the whole in-come-the-yanks-to-save-the-day shit.

I found myself totally disattached to this film. Good effects, but boooring.
