say something about what the forumer above you is listening to

Yeah I finally checked it out myself. Listened once last night and starting round 2 now. All I can think to say so far is that I'm really, really glad someone is finally doing it right again. This stuff is awesome.

edit: The last half of The Infinite Mind is some of the most epic shit I've heard in years.

yep. 3:17 is epic, epic shit.

perfect highway album....awesome for driving.

Meh. It might be one of those bands that have to grow on you. It's really thick.

edit: also, that's a badass sig. yum

Dissection - I don't typically do Black (see below for irony), but the few tracks I've listened to from SoTLB are actually something I could listen to. Probably once in a blue moon though.

I had no idea Jag Panzer broke up, and even less idea who this band was until I read who the vocalist was. I know Harry came first, but this sounds a lot like Sean Peck to me. Hey, pesudo Black that I actually enjoy.

Harry Conklin sounds great. I do like some Jag Panzer and never knew about Satan's Host. Fun stuff.

What am I listening to right now? Forte - Division

Never heard of Forte before that video...and they sound great. Love the way the bass is mixed too. Off of that one song alone, they remind me a bit of Conception, Forbidden and Metal Church.

Holy crap. This is, well, interesting. Charon, Sentenced, Nightwish, and Sonata Arctica singers came together to make an 80's album. Lots of cheese and lots of awesome.

Just can't get into that kind of stuff, especially when it's covers of played out songs.

Good god. Lots of cheese is an understatement. I know it's a cliche thing to say, but the original is so much better than this pretentious crap. It's like they thought "Gee, there's too much dead air here, let's fill up every gap with loads of the typical Euro blend of obnoxiousness!".

Marco's vocals definitely do not "suck", but he's also no Steve Perry.

@Gojira - I used to listen to them on and off a few years ago, but they never really had any lasting appeal for me. This song sounds atypical from what I remember of them...more like SYL. Is that Devin on some of the vocals?
