say something about ... yourself!

Maybe once I start making enough money and have a decent following. Right now myspace is a lot easier in terms of networking, plus the whole being free thing.

Yea, MySpace is good definitely because of the free factor. I'm not sure if you have any coding skills but I'm sure when it comes time to do your site, some of us geeks would be willing to help.

Yea, you'd make a good buck on eBay.

Also Isabel, PM me about that logo, I might have some time this week.

Yeah haha this would be the first place I'd come for that kind of help. I've been teaching myself some photoshop and html stuff just for the things I've done so far but I'm certainly not anywhere near making a whole website.

Hmm I did reply maybe it didn't go through. But basically if you do some rough drafts of whatever you have in mind and send them to me I can let you know if it's what I'm looking for. A couple people have sent me things, but they were a little too specifically metal looking (pentagrams and shit), and I want a logo that will be more versatile in case I expand to non band clothing.

Also, it all depends on what kind of content you want on your website. If you want forms to E-Mail you sales inquiries, it's a lot more simple than having a full-blown shopping cart-type script that will automatically authenticate payment options and such. The last website I did that is live was for my buddy's business. There wasn't much content, mainly just information and pictures so the process was pretty simple. Also, I used Joomla which doesn't really require any knowledge of coding itself, unless there are specific things you need/want to tweak.

It's a portal-based system that is full customizable and has an administration backend. Might be something to check out if you want to do the site yourself. There are many templates and plugins you can download for free and the system itself (joomla.org) is free. All you need to learn really is how to use the administrative backend for content and such.

Yeah I'm about to quit my freelance teaching job and go work in a factory around here.

They need people who speak dual languages to understand the machinery, plus it's fucking cake. "Oh look, here comes another piece. I have to push this button and wait anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours for the next piece to come. In the meantime, I'll go have an espresso and a smoke or ten."

The contracts here are criminally geared towards the worker, so much so that you would have to almost literally piss in your boss's face to get fired. 30 days a year paid vacation, just like everywhere around here, plus it will be more steady than teaching.

I'm also waiting for the new Montgomery GI Bill to come through and see what changes. Supposedly, around August veterans will not only have their college paid for, but they'll also be paid per diem every month if they go to school full time, which would be about 1000 dollars per month. The only problem is that they're still working out the kinks with people overseas like me who would have to do online courses.

The small stuff is okay, just stash it in boxes, put them on a pallet and wrap the whole thing in plastic.

But then the doghouses show up...

Ahhh I miss working in a wearhouse and using the forklift to go like three stories high. And just working the wheel on that shit and zooming around the isles of the warehouse as a time saver.
