say something about ... yourself!

I just dont get the faggots of hollywood

It does strain credulity, doesn't it. When it comes to movie adaptations of comics, people just want the original storyline + fancy movie violence/effects. it doesn't seem like it would be that hard, the story is literally written for you already.

Watchmen is pretty much the best example I've seen of doing a comic movie right. If the Y: The Last Man movie sucks, I'll be pissed (i dunno how i feel about shia le bluhbluh as yorick, could go either way).

Right now I can't be bothered to go to bed so I'm watching things I've seen before.

That shit's badass.

Picked up Angels & Demons to keep me entertained while I can't go to classes. But they only had the large print so I feel like a 70 year old lady. Hahah.

It's not bad; it's quite entertaining. It's not as badly written as The Da Vinci Code.

He fucks up some sentences in Italian but other than that it's probably the better of his litter of ripoffs.

I'd like to see the film, actually. The thing that puts Angels and Demons above DVC is that the monuments he speaks about really are there and describes them perfectly. The pyramids really are there, in the middle of Rome and completely out of place, which is quite odd. It doesn't seem so horribly far-fetched as the DVC. You'll see when you start reading.

Watchmen ruled.
Shia should be a good Yorick

I have a question for anyone who knows how to do digital image editing. We just got the cover for our new EP but its in a photoshop file (i'm having my friend edit it in photoshop later) so i'm just viewing it regularly but it seems pretty vertical, is my friend going to be able to fit it to a cd case without stretching it or how do they normally do that with pictures? i'm fuckin clueless.

I hope you feel better Isabel, and Emily. Damn Isabel, go to the doctor just to be on the safe side. That sounds awful :(

Not much here, I feel good having finished a drawing after working on it, and starting over for a few months, and having the place to ourselves until Sunday.

If it's a layered .psd file, and your friend knows what he's doing, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

yeah its a layered psd file, my friend says they'll be able to do it on friday so i guess i'll see then and i'll post it here to see what you guys think/how to change it graphic design wise. The last thing i'd want is to have to stretch the picture or something in a certain way to put it in a cd case.

I also enjoyed A&D (or Iluminati as it's called over here) quite a lot more than TDVC. TDVC was just a carbon copy of what worked so well in A&D... just not as stringent and captivating. And I don't like to read the same book twice.

I guess that's what separates really great artists from successful formula-authors. And it's not like he can't write different books, I enjoyed "Deception Point" (2001) quite a bit.

It seems like somebody was afraid to fall back into the twilight zone of mediocre talented and successful authors.

TDVC was a game played safe, tailored to an exact audience. It's the OP: Mindcrime II, Keeper Of The Seven Keys III etc. in the world of novels.

Not really a POS but considerable meh at best.
