say something about ... yourself!

Sooo A&D came out first then, yes? I thought so but who knows right now with loopy drugs.

Yes, it came out first.

Just like SlashVanYoung, said, it's a good story for what it is. It's like AC/DC; it's nothing ground-breaking but it's good fun.

I personally think he dumbed down TDVC on purpose for money. A&D is actually done quite well, and I think you'll enjoy it. If you've ever studied Rome or have been to Rome, you'll appreciate it even more.

I think the good thing about A&D is that it shouldn't spawn a bunch of redneck dumbass idiots who consider fiction to be fact, as TDVC did. After TDVC came out, everyone seemed to be an expert on art and conspiracy theories.

That said, the conspiracy theorists are gonna have a field day about this one, since it's all about The Illuminati.

It already has. The other day I was flipping through channels and the Catholic/Christian (can't remember which) broadcast had these two news anchors and a guest going nuts over what goes on in the book vs. factual history. I lol'd and moved on. I'm tired of the Church getting butthurt over Brown's books.

Now if you'll excuse, I'm gonna take a much needed shower; my hair is nasty.

Oh man, they're losing their minds over here over this film...the church that is.

Italy is such a paradoxical place. Aside from 90 year-old nuns, no one here gives a flying fuck about the church or Catholicism, which is odd. In fact, people who go to church every week are looked upon as kinda weird here, unless they're elderly people.

When the Vatican started it's bullshit about this movie, and the last one for that matter, you could actually HEAR everyone rolling their eyes.

I should edit my post to not just the Catholics going silly over this. When DVC came out, there were people in my church that were in an uproar, too. Oh well, let them get their panties in a twist for a few months then everyone will forget about it and move on to something else that's "threatening" the faith and blah blah blah blahblah.

Haha, that sounds silly coming from me. Totes magotes. I'm gonna eat some waffles.

A&D is definitely a better book than DC. dunno if that'll translate to a better movie or not, DC put me to fuckin sleep, literally. they were popular books more because the style they're written in keeps up the suspense and makes you read them quickly, but all his books are the same. i read another one about some cryptogropher chick or something and the formula was exactly the same. those elemental brands in A&D were really awesome though, i hope they keep those important and dont gloss over em like movies do.

So...Paganfest II!

This concert was already awesome from the beginning because somebody else drove the 2 hours to Covington and I rode along. Covington seems like a chill little town, right across the river from Cincy but very much like it. The roads are insane. The venue, The Mad Hatter, looked like a strip club, complete with pink neon lights around the walls. Good sound though.

Anyway, the bands:

Swashbuckle played pirate metal, complete with costumes and accents. They were a lot of fun once you realized they didn't take themselves any more seriously than they looked. "YAR, IF YE DON'T LIKE IT, YE CAN SUCK ON SOME COCKS, AND LICK SOME TAINTS!"

Blackguard was like Canada's Dragonforce. Lots of energy, but you get the feeling they're going to fizzle out rather quickly. A little too flashy. There was a funny moment with some drunk Kentucky hick stumbling up to the stage, getting hold of the microphone, and saying "I'm gonna go to the bar and get me a Pabst Blue Ribbon." He then did so. Let it never be said Kentuckians aren't men of their words.

Moonsorrow started out looking sort of unenthusiastic, opening with Sankarihauta and playing it rather slowly. They really picked up as they went along, though, good show by the end of it.

Primordial killed everything. That's all that needs to be said.

By the time Korpiklaani got on stage, they were the only sober ones in the room...or maybe there were some more standing off to the side, and I was too drunk to see them. I don't know. But while they played, there was dancing, drinking, beer being dropped, beer being raised, beer bottles being tapped on and fizzing everywhere, beer being poured/thrown out over the audience, and beer being sung-about. Some technical difficulties with the accordion guy's microphone (who the fuck cares?) caused about a 15 minute interruption. When they got back onstage, however, everyone was even more drunk than before so no one was bothered by it. Such a fun show.

And finally, I was only conscious through about half the drive back. Good times.

Appendicitis it was. Just got home from a two night stay in the hospital, appendix free. I had my own room with a tv and a private bathroom and they weren't stingy with the morphine, so it wasn't too bad, although the day and night nurses seemed to be on completely different schedules and neither of them cared whether or not I got any sleep. :zombie:

I didn't have to get a big incision since they did the surgery with a fiber optic camera, so I just have three little cuts, including my belly button which is being held together with plastic surgery glue. Anyhow now I'm at my nice quiet home with a kitty cat who missed me very much, and my mommy is out buying me ice cream, stuff to make smoothies, yogurt, and other mushies since my stomach isn't getting along with solid food. Also she's picking up a bottle of Percocet for me, so at least I'll be able to get comfy.

1. My apologies, good to hear you're better.

2. Fuckin' ay right I know my medical sometimes.

3. Night shifters have tests to administer sometimes depending on what you're there for and what you're taking, and don't care if they wake you up. They're usually the least friendly of the staff.

The night nurses didn't seem particularly unpleasant, I just wish they could've left a note on my door saying that they kept me up until 4 in the morning so people didn't come in and start bothering me by 6:30. Also, the one last night was a nun (I went to a Catholic hospital) told me I had to get half an hour of an antibiotic IV drip at 2 am, so I stayed up rather than getting woken up an hour later, and then once I called her in to take it out, she tells me that she had accidentally given me more saline instead of the antibiotic so I had to wait even longer skljgwkjeogjwiogjwoe. I should've called King Diamond in to rape her.
