i was washing the dishes and i put Through Silver in Blood by Neurosis on the DVD player in the living room. every time i looked into that room, i saw my cat, lilly, sitting in front of the tv, transfixed.
Was getting ready to leave work and the "fire alarm" went off. So everyone runs outside and we realize, WAIT THIS ISN'T A FIRE ALARM, THIS IS A TORNADO ALARM (as the sky swirls and we start to blow away and hear tornado sirens). It would seem the only difference between the fire alarms and tornado alarms is a different series of beeps which we are supposed to be able to decipher?!?!? THANKS EMERGENCY ALARM SYSTEM
So hung around in the tornado shelter room for a while until it passed and then went outside and got really wet.
Yeah being in downtown Dallas when it hit was fun. It really was! I had about 30 minutes to kill before my train left for Irving, that's when it hit. Luckily the train stop I was at has an entrance to an underground tunnel, so I stood there for a while. Then nothing happened so I went up to the top level of the train and enjoyed the show.
I was extremely lucky to have gotten to the downtown train stop when I did though. I take the light rail there from where I work. Just after I got downtown, they stopped running the light rail due to the damage that occurred north of us. One of the Dart officials said there were hundreds of people stuck at the light rail station just past us :zombie:
Watching Taken on Bluray. It has a kill/injured count, countdown to find his daughter, and has a diagram of super awesome kills.
It's really fun to see which guy dies and who just gets hurt. Best one: guy killed by champagne tray.
Damn Cara that's freaky. Tornadoes scare me especially now that I'm in an area that gets them more often, and we live in a duplex apartment that has no basement. :S
