He does that yes... Anyway there is a crossfade in the end of the growl that goes a bit hihger pitch but the first part is really 30 sec. Though the song has already faded so I'm not sure if yuo can hear it... blah blah... useless trivia blah.

Mikael Akerfeldt does a 20 second scream on Brave Murder Day by katatonia. I can scream for 18 to 19 seconds. But pushing it to the 20 second mark is simply impossible. It's kinda like breaking the record of the 100m sprint..

yeah there's a few, maynard, henke of skyfire holds a 25 second screechy growl thing in Uncloud The Sky.....Lord Worm had about a 30 second scream in Open Face Surgery (and the current vocalist Martin Lacroix can match him)...urm....there's definately quite a few more, I just can't of any at the moment.

you gotta remember that he doesnt scream that loud. i can hold screams like that for about 30 seconds cos they dont have to be loud...loud ones are a completely different story.

Exactly. I also used to wonder about Mike's scream in BRI and Maynard's scream in The Grudge, but now I can do it too. Loud screams are hard to hold for that length of time, but Mike uses a low voice.
