So, today the band came in and has layed down the vocal tracks:


Drums: Slate
Guitars: some wierd Godin + 8505 + Paidobi's Engl impulses
Bass: Fender P-Bass Deluxe

Wow, the vocals sound really wierd :S Chorus effect or something. Sounds very wet aswell. I think it need to be more present and "in my face".
Same goes for the screams.

Little hot mix, I think I can hear some clipping(?)
But it sounds pretty good overall. A bit muffled guitars and unclear lowend. Clean it up a little.

Yeah, the vocals are edited already, when i've edited them more they sounded very unnatural

Anywho, updated the first file:

- fixed bass, hopefully
- fixed top end, not to harsh
- fixed guitars, not so muffled
- les limiting

Further suggestions are welcome

great guitar sound for a vst !

nick crows stuff is awesome!!

vocals could sit better in the mix, maybe more compression, and automation could do the trick. overall great work!

... so, sorry to resurect this one but i was really pissed with the mix, and spent the last few days redoing it.

The guitars are now amplitube, though the tracks from the godin guitar as so muddy that i just can't whip anything sensible out of them. I think i'll start providing my guitar for the bands to record with:

I think this sounds pretty damn decent. I wish the guitars were a little more beefy , but i guess its not like they are doing a hell of alot of tech work anyways. The vocals are fine, i dont feel the way the other posters have, but i would like it if they were just a little quieter ( or the guitars a little louder ).
