hey! I'm experimenting with vst and midi now and I was wondering if any of you knew wich programs or vst does in flames use on their recent albums to create all those layers of effects...

Sequencing a la In Flames...

they play the whole set to a click and it is sequenced via pro tools. Daniel has a laptop that sits with him during the set.

In fact, they don't just have the eletronics on the sequencer, they also play some lead guitar harmonies as witnessed on the Rock Am Ring 2006 live concert video.
yeah your right! but they never discuss about this, and there's no word about it on the dvd either...

yeah i hate how they do that now. they used to do it all straight up, now its like they think they are huge rock stars or something... its stupid and people won't give them as much credit as they should.

in flames synths are pretty easy
get any synth with an arp or sequencer
and use the cutoff with resonance.

You can hear guitars on the backing track on The Tokyo Showdown. Not all the clean stuff, but anything with effects on it, as well as the keyboards, is on a backing track panned straight up the middle.
actually when i saw them on the Come Clarity tour and chatted with Daniel about it backstage after the show he said it was Digital Performer than runs their click and backing tracks and i could see by looking at the rack that it was a MOTU interface as well.
