I was actually contemplating Wintersun...I think that they're bigger than many of the bands on this year's main roster though, even with only one album. They would slay.
Heed and Shatter Messiah didn't even cross my mind. I'd really like to see them though.

Heh, seriously though... based on past events, would it be reasonable to think that given the shorter time frame available at this point, bringing in an overseas band might be difficult to engineer? Should people be concentrating more on contacting US-based bands?

I bet myself that Glenn would put a serious boot-stompin' on THAT line of attack pretty quickly, within, say, X posts....and I was only off by one post.
Lots of great bands mentioned so far....hell, I'd looove to see MindFlow again. I'd love to hang out with them again. I'd love to watch them talk to birds again.....

I would have an orgasm if one of the following bands was put in the opening slot:
Pharaoh (they have a new album out, and I'm dying for them to play some stateside shows that I can make it to)
Antithesis (they WILL have a new album out before September, they have their original bass player back, and their sound will be kicked up several notches from their last disc)
Enertia (they SHOULD have a new album out by then, and they went over extremely well at the pre-party a few years ago... they have a very energetic stage presence which would be perfect to kickstart the night)
Kiuas (they might be a little on the expensive side, but they would totally be worth it... if anyone is planning on sponsoring them, I would be willing to help out a little, while not being an "official" sponsor)

Benedictum is an amazing band. Veronica Freeman is a knockout with a Dio-powerful voice. I've wanted to see them for a long time.
