Hey Ken are you going to bring in the new Sheavy "Disfigurine" CD?

The last one "The Machine That Won The War" was killer bar the glich in song 6 "Rings Of Saturn" that the label never corrected or made good on...had to fix it myself on Adobe Audition...put it back together perfectly if anyone needs the corrected track at 320 bit let me know.

Steve:

I appreciate it. Despite my personal affection there are certain tangential progressive genres that just don't seem to sell for us:

1. electronic
2. folk
3. stoner

I carried the first Sheavy album and copies sat here for years. As I recall the vocalist sounded exactly like Ozzy. Am I right?

Ken

Yes you hit the nail right on the head...but with their last album they've improved by leaps and bounds...I'll send you the track I fixed. I like them ever bit as much as say Spiritual Beggars.

Pretty much any and all unless there is a predominant psychedelic influence. Bands like Trees and Fresh Maggots do OK but a lot of English neo-folk psych bands just move in very small quantities. Classics like Bread Love & Dreams just sit here. I have 3 gorgeous albums from Fiona Joyce sitting on the site but I will be hard pressed to get any takers.

Well now, that's interesting Ken. Fiona Joyce? I may have over 8,500 albums in my collection (mad fool....) but so many bands/artists here are ones of which I have no knowledge. I only have so much time each day to research new leads - and they come from myriad sources.

So, you describe the music of FJ as "gorgeous" and as someone who respects your views off I went and did my research. And of course, you are bloody right. As someone who 'lurves' celtic music and especially when combined with classy female vocals (so, yes, I do own everything by Loreena McKennitt) this has really caught my interest.

However, I just do not have the sterling equivalent of forty seven bucks and fifty cents available at the moment. But if you'd kindly put them on one side for me with the promise that they will be acquired from you in the next couple of months, then we have a done deal!
