I'd like to get try out some Shining and Azrael. Should I? The samples I've heard from both are excellent.

I haven't heard Shining, but Azrael is great. I like Act 2 more than the first one though...

Yes Azrael is great. Act I and II are both great releases, although I too favor Act II. I cant comment too much on Shining.

I've got some Azrael tucked away somewhere, probably on a CD-R Ken sent me at some point. I'm still going through a bunch of old shit all the time. I'll get to that at some point.
