Shipping a guitar through craigslist/paypal

So I've had my Musicman guitar up on CL for a while and some guy emailed me about it asking me to ship it to him in in another state and he'd pay with PayPal. The guy seems legit because he used "EBMM" in his email and I did not use EBMM in my listing, so he seems to know what he is talking about. I searched his email and he has posted on a couple of forums trying to buy stuff. One on jemsite trying to buy a guitar but he only had a couple of posts. Also seems to work for a pretty big company; he's using a company email address so I searched it.

Do you guys ever ship stuff on craigslist? Seems legit and secure enough through PayPal if I get payment first and do insured/signed shipping, but I really don't feel like getting fucked over right now if there's a chance. I remember reading Jeff's thread and the horror.

Sounds okay or scammy?

I've done it a lot but usually on the buying end (more dangerous). I a lot of times email the seller asking if they would ship if I used paypal and I've bought a lot of stuff like that. I also sold a midi controller to a guy from Denmark via craigslist :zombie: I'd say as long as you get the payment before shipping it you should be fine

This. I sold my Strat to a guy in England through Craigslist. ??? Worked out fine. Get the payment first though.

Yeah ive sold some stuff on craigslist and shipped it to another state and its gone smoothly so far but buying stuff off craigslist from another state is sometimes sketchy because you never know.
