Yeah, it took me a pathetically long time to realize that there was a L6 Treadplate model that was different than the Treadplate dual model on the XT; I always just scrolled right by the former thinking it was the latter

use a tubescreamer, the dual recto model, recto cab, 57 on axis, keep the gain on the amp low, and play hard!
Personally, I'm actually really partial to what Machinated suggested, except with the Diezel Herbert model (Diety's Son, I think) instead of the Dual Recto

I'll give that a try man, I pretty much ALWAYS use the dual recto or triple recto models. They always seem to work out better for me.
Hmm, I do like both of those a lot, but I find the dual to be a bit too smooth/muffled sounding, and the triple a bit too buzzy; something in between would be perfect, though I guess that's easily solved with the built-in eq! (I really should mess around with that more). I like the Herbert cuz it has a great mid-crunch
