Should I go to univershitty?

studying surely does NOT make you better or happier or whatever
but it just might give you opportunities in the future that you will never have without this degree

I agree mariner, you're bring intelligent in what you say, they are right in some ways but studying isn't for everyone. It isn't for me but, I might be capable so I might want to give it a go, but I doubt I'd be happy really. I think really I'd be happier without doing that and saving money, but I may still start uni and give it a go, I can always quit.

is there much profit and future in that? I'm not sure what field to work to be honest, there's one near here but it's just a football field. I reckon i should get a half decent job in a nearby city just as long as it pays for chinese food, KFC and that. And I'll just get dead good playing the guitar and even better on the piano and then I could try and get in the charts, playing a song

i get jealous of these people who go off live in London, get a degree and a great job. Must be pretty cool, obviously you seem like you'd hate to live in London though dunk

True, I couldnt live in London like, but you gotta do what you fancy doing. Do you like the city or countryside?

the funny thing is actually I kind of like both, well i like semi rural areas, like the outskirts of towns, rather than living in the middle of a shit town, like where i am now for example. But I fancy the idea of living in a nice flat in the middle of London too. Just depends if the area is decent or not like

huh? How idealistic. And you don't come from an inner city, do you. We could put you on the east side, Baltimore for a couple of months and you'd change your mind about that within the first week and cry desperation the rest of the time. If you live.

Again, it's not about happiness, it's about long term survival. You're not going to be happy later if you're not surviving well, or with too much difficulty.

Let me just state something else. Happiness doesn't come all from what you choose to do, but that you can live, AND MOST of the happiness you're going to gain in life just happens along the way, whatever you're doing.

nah. i meant *cheese mode on* 'that you dont need money to be happy'.

btw dont you think i dont have to 'struggle' to come around each month. i mean, yeah im able to do more things that i like with more money. but someone who is studying three years has to work for quite a long time to catch up with the lad working already for three years. and when they get on the same level then he doesnt need that much money anymore because he has all his own stuff by then (-->house)
i dont know anyone of the people i know who studied and are 'richer' as i am now. and itll stay like that for at least 10 years.
but maybe they feel good having a A-level. like i said it might be cool to be a 'dr' for them.
