1. They used HM1 hevay metal distortion and not metalzones. its an equally bad pedal but its funny to point out.

2. I agree. they should use jacksons and play an oldschool gig.

Mikael/Peter/Martin/Martin (whoever reads this): At sweden rock you should have an oldschool gig with jacksons, metalzones/hm1's and samik basses and only play pre bwp songs. Just to make the oldtime fans happy.

It would be so sweet to see them go back in time to the non-famous opeth without endoresemnts from gibson, fender, prs, and laney... thats some hardcore endoresment!

I'm pretty sure that the Metalzone was used for the Hearse album (the phatt sound thing) after that they changed to this a bit more sutaine-less but far superior "clean/clear" distortion sound. I have an metalzone. Thinkin about changing gears though, currently my friends Peavey 5150 is located in this very room, and it has been pretty nice. but a bit to loud for training/playing on my own IMO.

When playing it through my Laney TF300, it gives me almost exactly same distortion sound as on Deliverance.

I love it.
