Show reviews from the June/July tour go here please!!! :)

well i won't be posting a show review, cuz due to some shit that came up, i can't make it, which needless to say, i'm quite pissed about. but i'll see the guys for sure in sept with stratovarius

So I drove to omaha to see the into eternity/ hate eternal show at sokol, and it was cancelled!!!!!!! It sucked first because their are two sokol vienues in Omaha and you would think they are the same thing, since one of them does not have an address on ticketmaster. well their is two venues same name different parts of the city, is that not dumb or what??? so I got to town late and found the first venue to be told to go across town. I finally found the venue to walk in and see kids doing gymnastics. And so I go around the side to find a door to the venue and the door was locked and the note said "bands didn't show up. production bus broke down. show cancelled" I couldn't believe it I drove 4 hours their and had to head straight back it was so depressing. I had no clue where I was and finally found the highway, but it sucked I was so pumped to see not only into eternity but every band so I was really disappointed. The only good thing was they were coming from detroit, then after to Minnesota . thats a ton of driving and I did get to the show when it was supposed to start and sat their for 20 minutes and only 4 people came to the doors during that time. Its great to see into eternity in a small show, but I really want to hear a thousand people sing to their songs I think that would be cool as fuck. anyway it sucked so much that I didn't get to see them, but I will see them again soon, but it sucks missing the best band on the planet.

p.s. I tried to copy the fiirst cd for adam, but no computer will recognize the cd as a cd, since its a copy from russia. So right now I don't think its possible to copy that cd since no computer will recognize it as a music cd. anyway can't wait to see you guys again. till then keep the metal coming

oh my I'm sorry to hear that!!!!!!!!!!!
that sucks :(

btw something else does come to mind... always check with the venue before driving (esp from that far!), but maybe you'd have to call in so early that they didn't even have that information yet

it wasn't an off date, but i already heard from Tim that HE missed that show too, Incantation, IE and Krisiun played.

And there is a weenie bit of a little chance HE will possibly make it to BC in a rented van, let's keep our fingers crossed for the BC fans :)

the minnesota show kicked ass..
hate eternal wasnt there thank god, but unfortunately i had to sit through what incantation probably thought was there greatest show ever.. i can only assume they feel that more it sounds like jibberish the better they did.
anyway, krisiun did well, and ah, on to into eternity, they got to play seven songs, which was great, no new material though... i was so hoping...a
i believe the songs they played were: splintered, elysium, spiralling, beginning, 3dimensional, imagination, and damnit.. what else, meh my friend got a set list, ill find out.. either way imagination was awesome, tims solo...wow.
the whole band kicked ass. it was just a shame they only got to play seven songs, where as incantion got to go on for at least 12. why isnt into eternity headlining these shows?

Went to the show last night at the Galaxy. IE tore sh*t up. Stu’s vocals were outstanding, and the guitars were awesome. Seeing Splintered Visions played live made my evening. The opening bands were ok, Hate Eternal was of course brutal, and Krisiun dropped my jaw with some of their solos... especially a crazy drum solo.
:OMG:

Incantation... couldn’t differentiate between any of their songs. Just sludge-ish. Overall though, sweet show. Sore neck this morning, that’s for sure. :headbang:

Definitely gonna have to hit the next show here. :headbang:

really good suggestion. A similar thing happened to me, I drove from Phoenix to Vegas to see Halford, Vio-lence, testament, exhumed, etc. I got there the day in advance and then the next day, I went into the casino only to find out the show had been cancelled. I hurried back to Arizona to see Testament the next night but I was mad.:Spin:

I haven't figured out if I can physically make it to tonight's Albuquerque gig but if it can be done, I will do so.

i DON'T WANT A SHORT SET. I'M WAITING FOR THEM TO COME WITH HAMMERFALL AND EDGUY (EVEN TOUGH I DON'T LIKE THOSE TWO THAT MUCH). HOPEFULLY THEY'LL PLAY AN HOUR SET.

Hate to tell you two things... why are you typing in caps, it looks like you're yelling at us. And also, they are opening the show for Hammerfall/Edguy (unless the fourth band gets added like originally planned). They will still get 30 minute set probably, or at VERY most 40 minutes, so you may as well go now and see them.

San Antonio, TX Review:

One word can some up this performance, holyfuckinshit. This was my first time ever seeing the guys live and I was completely blown away. I was really anxious to find out how good Stu was and I was extremely impressed and completely won over, I think I've found my new favorite singer. If this core group stays together, there is no stopping them. All the new guys were amazing and Rob and Tim were phenomenal, this was one of my favorite shows ever. From what I could tell, there were about 80 people at the time of their performance, which is way more than I expected and all the IE fans were singing their hearts out, the setlist was (not exactly in this order):

Splintered Visions
Beginning Of The End
Embraced By Desolation
Three Dimensional Aperture
Elysium Dream
Identify

It seemed that the guys were playing faster and more aggressively than they sounded on CD, and added some extra screams to some parts as well, probably to impress all the death metal heads there, which was fine with me, it added a lot of ferocity. I had to leave immediately after to go to work, so I missed the rest of the show, but it was worth it just to see IE, hope they come back soon.

On a side note, I happened to see Opeth and Strapping Young Lad just 2 days before at the Sounds Of The Underground tour and Into Eternity made them sound like amateurs :)

I was also at the San Antonio show. This was my first time seeing IE live and was everything and more than what I was expecting. It was a great feeling when I looked back behind me to see all the other IE fans singing along with me and the people who I went with. IE's performance was just flawless..... I was just watching in awe as I stood right in front of the stage. In my opinion they stole the show away from everyone else that was there to perform that night. I just want to thank IE for taking the time to talk with me, my husband, and my best friend. So......if you guys read this thanks for making our night so kik ass....and maybe next time you guys come around we'll buy you guys a round on us.

This isnt really a show review for San Antonio, that will be for Monday on the site. What I do want to say is that Into Eternity have some of the nicest guys I've met in their band. Troy spent a good half hour talking to everyone in the alley and Tim was a great interview. BTW this was the hardest interview I've done not because of the subject but because the club apparently didnt believe me that I was there for an interview (despite the media pass from CM, that should be self explanatory) and made me give them my recorder and when I took it out of my back pocket the paper with my questions, facts (such as the new songs that were played in Canada) and other assorted essential info fell out. Soooo, Tim, I was winging it the entire time in the interview and listening to it now sometimes I sounded distant and callous but it was because every second of that interview I was racking my brain for the info that that little piece of paper had.

Something else that I took notice of at the show. I really have to commend Into Eternity for their perseverance when it comes to touring. These guys are touring fucking HARD for this album and on days like Monday night in San Antonio I know that it must seem rough and sometimes it might seem futile. ThinkAboutYourEnd, I might be mistaken but to me there seemed like maybe a whole twenty people actually at the front watching Into Eternity and of those twenty there were about ten who were singing, pumping fists and giving back to the band. My respect for the band has increased tenfold and I sincerely hope that the scant breaks they have in the next coming months will be enough to recharge their batteries and keep them going. For every dud night there are thousands of fans over the world that appreciate the lengths that these Canadians are going through so that we can enjoy their music.

You're right about that, I was counting everyone in the venue, even though lots of them were hanging back or hanging out in the bar/merch area. There were still more people than I expected, I mean I saw Extol in the same place about a month earlier and there were not more than 10 people, total, at the time of their performance, so I was glad there wasn't a repeat of that travesty.

Hey I have a question, what shirt were you wearing and / or what do you look like? I have a good general idea but I'm not exactly a hundred percent sure. I myself felt just a little out of place in my Theocracy shirt haha.

Hey you guys! Just got back from the Ybor show, and I must say, it was great to finally see them live. Stu, Troy, and Adam were all great. Stu made me laugh a few times, especially when he rubbed his nipple. Troy had some trouble with his bass during Beginning Of The End I believe, not sure what because I forgot to ask, but he was able to make it back in before the song ended. They only got about 45 mins to play and I have no pictures from the show because they didn't allow digital cameras into the show, but I did get everyone to sign the picture I brought ^^.

The set list was as follows: (not totally sure if it's in the correct order, but I believe it is)
Splintered Visions
Embraced By Desolation
Elysium Dream
Three Dimensional Aperture
Beginning Of The End
Identify

Great show guys :headbang:

P.S. Sorry to Rob, Tim, Troy, and Stu for not introducing myself when talking to yall. My name is Harrison, as in Harrison Ford (and yes, people have actually called me Harrison Ford when I told them my name).

P.P.S. Kick ass show guys :worship:

Houston, Texas 7-19 Into Eternity, Incantation, Krisiun

Set List or close to it

Paralyzed – sound check
Splintered Visions
Embraced By Desolation
Elysium Dream
3 Dimensional Aperture
Point Of Uncertainty
Beginning Of the End
Distant Pale future
Identify

All in all a wonderful experience, and anyone who hasn’t seen into eternity should. You know its really hard now to say what the “highlights” of the show were. Paralyzed was great this time, I mean great, but I remember really liking the new song scattering the ashes more last time. So have no fear all the doubters wondering if the new members will step up, into eternity has NOT wrote their best material yet. Its hard to say that because I will never forget the first time hearing oblivion, it was a day close to my heart that I will never forget.

The venue was in the shitty part of town, but 200 – 300 showed up for the show. On the down side I went to Omaha earlier in the month and Hate Eternals bus broke down or something. Well it happened again. Dammit I really wanted to see them, but into eternity did get to almost double their set list as did the other bands. I believe again that it was just me in the into eternity fan club at the show, but the crowd did warm up to them as their set went on. I guess opening with splintered visions will do that. Anyway I wanted to Mosh really bad, but a pit never broke out. I thought the crowd didn’t like them, but afterwards everyone came up tell me how much into eternity rocked. I lost my voice for the first time ever at this show, guess I got a little too excited.

During Incantation a massive fight was breaking out between to big guys, and Tim almost walked right into the middle of it, but I watched him walk right past, I don’t even think he realized what was happening. I would say that without the security acting as quick as they did it would have been a lot worse. One of the dumbass Texan’s would not chill out and hit the guard well I got to take a free swing at him and hold him down and I enjoyed that a lot. I hate those asshole who just start fights because their ignorant and it gave me great pleasure to help them drag him out. Then I watched the drummer from incantation from behind the kit, and they were good from what I saw of them.

They were very good, but then Krisiun took the stage and well they were now the headliners and they did NOT disappoint. They had an insane pit and they fed off it and for not knowing their material I loved the set. It was brutal and anyone who likes that would love this band, such nice guys too!!!

Into Eternity was great but the monitors weren’t working so I think it made it hard on Tim/Stu. All in all they sounded good for not really hearing themselves sing. Rob’s vocal’s were brutal that night and can’t wait for more of those on the new cd. He said 3 Dimensional Aperture in his death death death voice and it was so awesome he should do that more often because it was so cool.

The drum’s were really loud tonight. Wow such a big drum sound it was awesome, I had to look to make sure he was really going that fast. He had a lot of control and sometimes he didn’t look really challenged while playing. Adam rules and HE WASN’T EVEN USING HIS KIT. So can we please take off the “can the drummer play” thread that pisses me off so much I hate it, he can play to hell, he wouldn’t be in into eternity if he couldn’t. The only thing better than his drumming abilities is his personality, so friendly at the merch booth each time. Thanks for the stick it was awesome to meet you and all the band. I thought it was a wonderful show and the whole band are super nice people. I still have to see them more live, so many songs I am just dying to hear live Absolution of the soul, black sea of agony, isolation, shallow, unholy, and all the ballads and first album.

So I am thinking about Minneapolis, but does anyone know is the fine line music café G.A. when I look at the seating chart and what I got when I tried to order the ticket was really weird. If anyone can tell me what concerts are like and if its easy to find from the highway that would be really nice.

Into Eternity !!!!!!!

Cool review, I'm jealous that you got to hear so many songs, even some new stuff too, that's awesome. Hopefully they come back to TX in the near future, maybe with Nevermore, that would kill.
