Die Schweden machen mal einen ganz anderen Sound als man sonst von Bands aus dem Land erwartet. Man widmet sich nämlich dem progressiven Melodic Metal. Wobei die Songs sehr melodisch aufgebaut sind und nicht unbedingt Metal im Vordergrund steht. Vielmehr gibt es Stimmungen und Emotionen satt, wobei Melancholie auch ein eher unterschwelliges Thema ist. Die Songs sind sehr flüssig und irgendwie in sich ruhend. Obwohl man schon auch Drive hat. Die Attitüde ist sehr angenehm. Dabei präsentiert man sich auch sehr abwechslungsreich. Ist schwer zu beschreiben. Wem z.B. Dead Soul Tribe gefällt sollte hier auch unbedingt reinhören. Ein schönes und ungewöhnliches Album, das sich nicht in Kategorien pressen läßt (und so sollte es auch sein...). (Moni)

Wolverine really brings some personality to the metal scene. Their brand of melodic metal combines dark, gothic considerations, accessible presentation of power type vocals and strong prog considerations to create music that is equally emotive and intelligent. The songwriting is gorgeous and captivating and almost transcends the genre, though it's still sufficiently metal for the smart metal listener to appreciate. And while metal is part and parcel of the heartbeat here, what it really boils down to is musicality.

In this case 2 is actually very good since they base their ratings on the German school grades where 6 is the worst you can get and 1+ the very best.
