SHROUD DROPPED FROM Leave's Eyes show next month

Ummm, we need to start pimping this show out if we're still playing it. I don't like the fact that we have to sell tickets for it still (we all aren't happy about that....) as it's going to cost us otherwise....and it still might. Bernie should get that banner fixed too.

that sucks dude,i know you were looking forward to that one, personally,i think the duece i dropped in the bowl this morning sounded a whole lot more interesting than leaves eyes, but what do i know...

Obviously a lot, because I feel the same way about Leave's Eyes.

But mine are super epic though

Actually, I was just looking to the good turn out. The band isn't my thing at all.

Theatre of Tragedy, well they were awesome.

Nowadays ,I would rather record myself shitting and listen with headphones (epic or not) for a month straight before listening to them.

Gay band indeed

haha we should do a split 7'' of bowel movements...
meh, fuck it,lets just print up some shirts for it instead

Quitting shouldn't be an option.Next time a promoter makes bullshit demands, replace SOB with SOPE unannounced. Your artistic integrity will flourish and anyone who doesn't post here will be pissed at them for advertising the 'wrong band.' Of course I'm guessing this was more of the usual 'sell tix to a Tuesday night show headlined by a shite nostalgia act or pay us 250 bucks' issue. Yeah maybe they'll draw but it'd be a combo of close minded goth-doom elitist junkies in it because liv pic staring is easier than girlfriends and titty bar fans.

I remember being at this Goatwhore/Strapping Young Lad gig in Portland, Maine. It was in the middle of the week. There was a decent crowd there. Thing was the makeup of it was completely different from pretty much every one featuring either of those band's I'd seen. Those wearing bandshirts were mostly sporting the support for one of the local openers. I do realize that the scene there is pretty isolated but Mark's ain't exactly in the heart of a major metropolis either.
Despite being all of an hour outside of Boston, the venue's shows aren't covered in the local papers. As for radio promotion... forget about it. So their shows are plugged online but thing is they don't tend to draw awesome enough acts to justify watching their site and myspace religiously. I've had somne good times there but still find out about gigs through my friends who will play there. And something tells me I'm far from alone in that.
So since you guys advertise for them, they really ought to cut you some slack for the "dead zone" shows. I realize that Leaves Eyes' label will lie about sales and other promoters are trolls who won't share ticket sales data but use some common sense or go to forums and read up. If you ask anything more than $100 to play something like that you're going to lose the bands and make your reputation suck.
Ah well. It's all about making money NOW with venues. I'm hard pressed to think of a place that really cultivates relationships with bands in healthy ways.
