I just purchased a Shure sm7b yesterday and used it on 2 different screamers. I did not get a manual from my local guitar store so i did not know what or where exactly the freq boost was on the mic. So i left the presence boost off and turned on the low cut. Now one screamer was nice and thick and a little muddy or lacking some presence and the other was bright and maybe a bit thin. So..... I'm just curious if you guys are switching the settings on the sm7b for different singers much, or if you set a certain way and put the cover over it and call it good?
From my experience yesterday it would need to be changed depending on the singers voice. Still curious to hear how others use this though. Its a sick mic by the way and glad i finally bought one!!
